Commercial Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with managers in the restaurant and hospitality sectors to provide all-encompassing service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and various specialty food service equipment.

• Exhibit your mechanical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and proficiency in interpreting diagrams and schematics.

• Accurately troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Commercial Kitchen Equipment, encompassing cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other specialty food service apparatus.

• Liaise with manufacturers as necessary to assist with diagnostics and identification of parts.

• Consult with the Technical Assistance Group for technical support while on-site.

• Efficiently install all parts ordered for customers in a manner that is timely, professional, and compliant with company policy.

• Promote and suggest additional services offered by Smart Care to clients when appropriate.

• Generate precise and timely administrative documents, including work orders, time reporting, receipts, and truck stock inventory.

• Adhere to safe work practices and implement accident prevention measures.

• Keep a tidy and organized service vehicle, along with maintaining accurate inventory of parts and tools.

• Uphold productivity levels in alignment with company benchmarks.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent qualification.

• At least 1 year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.

• Readiness and capability to participate in the emergency on-call rotation, which includes nights and weekends.

• Availability for occasional overnight travel as required.
