This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and expand a portfolio of designated commercial accounts.
• Generate new business opportunities across various commercial segments, such as guides & outfitters, camps, resorts, education, experiential operators, outdoor field teams, and other emerging channel prospects.
• Identify and establish new accounts that align with Rocky Talkie’s growth objectives.
• Foster strong, long-term relationships with customers through regular communication, training, field visits, and continuous account support.
• Conduct routine account visits, sales calls, and product demonstrations.
• Negotiate and finalize sales opportunities within the commercial channel.
• Represent Rocky Talkie at trade shows, networking functions, industry events, and customer meetings.
• Assist in identifying and conveying emerging market opportunities, customer requirements, and product feedback to enhance Rocky Talkie’s long-term commercial channel strategy.
• Work in collaboration with the Sales Manager to prioritize immediate revenue opportunities while also acknowledging longer-term strategic goals for the organization.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and changing customer needs within the commercial outdoor markets.
• Assist in refining sales messaging, positioning, and market entry strategies as the commercial channel evolves.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Experience, and Operations teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Maintain precise records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities in HubSpot CRM.
• Monitor and report on sales activities, account performance, and insights related to the commercial channel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated success in sales within the outdoor industry or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing new business through outbound outreach and relationship building.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated individual comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
• Ability to balance immediate revenue opportunities with long-term relationship and channel development.
• Experience with CRM platforms, particularly HubSpot, is preferred.
• Background in outdoor specialty retail, experiential industries, or commercial outdoor operations is preferred.
• A passion for outdoor recreation and alignment with Rocky Talkie’s brand values is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight trips.
