This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mozambique.
• Expand Pula’s influence, network, and positioning within the region.
• Cultivate strong client relationships, comprehend client needs, gather market insights, and create a reliable opportunity pipeline.
• Articulate value propositions through comprehensive presentations and proposals.
• Serve as Pula’s representative in the region.
• Identify and develop unique selling points and differentiators based on market and competitor insights.
• Establish regional commercial goals and take ownership of results.
• Research, create, and implement sales strategies to generate new and recurring revenue through partnerships with agro-input firms, public sectors, and development organizations.
• Develop, advance, and qualify the sales pipeline across insurance, data services, and consulting offerings.
• Generate and qualify leads, reaching out to prospective clients through various methods.
• Guide prospects through the sales process until contracting and implementation.
• Foster and maintain relationships with commodity associations, farmer aggregators, insurers, government entities, development organizations, and private firms.
• Oversee the transition of new customers to the operations team.
• Formulate and execute a regional commercial strategy, negotiate contracts, and meet revenue and growth objectives.
• Build connections with governments, development partners, insurers, financial institutions, agribusinesses, and key stakeholders.
• Represent Pula in the marketplace, identify opportunities, gather competitive intelligence, and enhance brand visibility.
• Assist in customer transition, program implementation, executive relationships, and long-term account growth.
• Set and track KPIs, ensure CRM accuracy, analyze market and sales data, forecast opportunities, and report on commercial performance.
• Proven sales professional with a strong track record of sales to development agencies, governments, and/or financial institutions.
• Demonstrated success in meeting a sales quota target.
• Experience collaborating with development agencies and/or government officials at various levels and adept at navigating government structures.
• Capable of defining issues, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently or within a team, highly results-oriented, and eager to enhance technical and product knowledge.
• Familiarity with engaging C-suite executives.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, along with integrity and high professionalism.
• Understanding of or strong interest in digital public infrastructure for farmers, including farmer registries, digital identity, and data platforms.
• Experience in agricultural sales or consulting, particularly in seed, fertilizer, agrochemical, or related fields, is a significant advantage.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry is beneficial.
• Proficient in utilizing data and KPIs for management decision-making.
• Comfortable with sales CRM platforms and Google Drive applications, including Google Sheets and Google Docs.
