This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Angola.
• Enhance Pula’s networks, influence, and positioning within the region.
• Cultivate relationships to comprehend client requirements, collect market insights, and create a reliable opportunity pipeline.
• Articulate value propositions through compelling presentations and proposals.
• Serve as Pula's spokesperson in the region.
• Identify and develop unique selling points and market differentiators.
• Establish regional commercial objectives and take ownership of the outcomes.
• Research, prepare, and implement sales strategies for both new and recurring revenue via partnerships.
• Develop, refine, and qualify opportunities across insurance, data services, and consulting offerings.
• Generate and qualify leads, guiding prospects through contracting and implementation phases.
• Manage and nurture relationships with commodity associations, farmer aggregators, insurers, government bodies, development organizations, and private sector companies.
• Transition new customers to the operations team for solution implementation.
• Formulate and execute regional commercial strategies to meet revenue and growth targets.
• Negotiate contracts and secure new partnerships.
• Represent Pula in the market and collect competitive intelligence.
• Assist in successful program execution and foster long-term account growth.
• Set and track commercial objectives and KPIs.
• Ensure CRM accuracy, analyze market and sales data, forecast opportunities, and report on commercial performance.
• Proven sales experience with development agencies, governments, and/or financial institutions.
• Demonstrated success in achieving sales quota targets.
• Experience collaborating with development agencies and/or government officials at various levels.
• Ability to navigate government frameworks effectively.
• Critical thinking abilities: capable of defining problems, gathering data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently or within a team.
• Highly results-driven and eager to enhance technical and product knowledge through education, training, and self-directed study.
• Familiarity with engaging C-suite executives.
• Exceptional communication and presentation capabilities.
• Strong integrity and professionalism.
• Knowledge of, or keen interest in, digital public infrastructure for farmers, including farmer registries, digital identity, and data platforms.
• Experience in agriculture sales or consulting, particularly in seed, fertilizer, agrochemical, or related sectors, is a considerable advantage.
• Familiarity with the insurance industry and its practices is beneficial.
• Ability to utilize data and KPIs for informed management decisions.
• Proficient in using sales CRM platforms.
• Comfortable with Google Drive applications, including Google Sheets and Google Docs.
