Commercial Insurance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with branch leaders to establish and reach objectives related to growth, profitability, and agency development.

• Act as a proactive mentor to Agents and District Sales Managers, enhancing knowledge in ERIE’s commercial lines products and underwriting methodologies.

• Assess intricate commercial accounts, make underwriting and pricing determinations within designated authority, and partner with senior underwriters on larger risk evaluations.

• Cultivate robust relationships with Agents, branch teams, and Home Office underwriting associates.

• Represent ERIE within the community and sustain positive connections with policyholders and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree, coupled with six years of experience in sales, underwriting, claims, loss control, or marketing is required; alternatively, an Associate’s degree with eight years of relevant experience, or a High school diploma or GED with ten years of equivalent experience is acceptable.

• A willingness to secure a property/casualty insurance license for the designated state or branch office service area is mandatory.

• A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are required.

• One of the following professional designations is preferred: ARM, AU, ALCM, CRM, CIC, CPCU, or General Insurance Program.
