• Play a vital role in transforming data into actionable insights that enhance business performance.
• Responsible for conducting intricate analyses to support data-driven decision-making.
• Identify trends, assess performance, and formulate recommendations to tackle key business challenges.
• Integrate insurance industry knowledge, analytical skills, and technical expertise to derive actionable insights.
• Shape data foundations and promote a data-driven culture within the organization.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) tasked with recognizing emerging trends and issues.
• Operate in a highly consultative capacity, presenting findings to senior management.
• Execute complex data analysis for Commercial Claims in alignment with business and portfolio objectives.
• Provide interpretation and insights on various proposals.
• Evaluate findings and guide outcomes, focusing on cause-effect relationships to facilitate implementation.
• Function as a business consultant for clients.
• Transform ambiguous business queries into structured analytical methods and actionable insights.
• Types of analyses may include, but are not limited to, root cause analysis, cost-benefit analysis, performance tracking, forecasting, and exploratory analysis.
• Identify and interpret trends, risks, and opportunities that affect client and portfolio performance.
• Develop data-driven recommendations aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, loss outcomes, and overall business strategy.
• Collaborate with partners across Claims, Product, Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, and Technology to define challenges and deliver effective solutions.
• Drive alignment by effectively communicating insights, conclusions, and recommended actions to senior leadership.
• Build strong relationships to facilitate the adoption and implementation of insights.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of data pipelines, reporting frameworks, and analytical standards.
• Assist in establishing consistent metric definitions, governance, and scalable analytics practices.
• Support the creation of AI-enabled and automated analytics capabilities.
• Utilize industry data and knowledge to assess results in relation to industry standards.
• Offer guidance, mentorship, and coaching to junior analysts.
• Contribute to team success by promoting a collaborative, curious, and high-performing culture.
• Over 8 years of directly relevant analytical experience in a related industry is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL (Snowflake preferred), Visual Basic, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, along with various structured analysis and design methodologies.
• Exceptional research, statistical, analytical, data processing, and mathematical skills, with the ability to structure and execute analyses.
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience is essential.
• Ability to conduct meetings and deliver formal presentations.
• Skills to coach, mentor, evaluate, and provide training, guidance, and constructive feedback to staff.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Expert knowledge of insurance, accounting, and rate-making concepts.
• Strong capacity to independently resolve technical challenges by utilizing online resources.
• Demonstrated analytical agility and curiosity.
