This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engaging with customers to secure new business opportunities.
• Overseeing sales activities in medium-sized territories.
• Supporting sales initiatives, enhancing customer engagement, and offering customized techno-commercial solutions for industrial control systems.
• Analyzing and influencing customer specifications, drawings, RFPs, and RFQs.
• Creating a table of compliance (TOC).
• Serving as the primary point of contact for deals and providing application engineering support to customers, channel partners, and internal teams.
• Leading the quoting process for both Core and Complex Controls offerings.
• Utilizing available quoting tools, models, and technical resources to craft bespoke control system solutions.
• Ensuring precise cost estimations, including the management of project risks: (i) technical, (ii) execution, and (iii) commercial, throughout the Inquiry to Order (ITO) process.
• Collaborating with supply chain and third-party vendors to gather quotes for broader project scopes.
• Working alongside the sales and pricing teams to formulate competitive pricing strategies that win deals.
• Consolidating financial aspects of deals.
• Presenting deals to the commercial review board (CRB) for approvals and ensuring compliance with ITO processes, including the examination of terms, conditions, and risk assessments.
• Managing the tender timeline to guarantee timely internal approvals, bid submissions, and readiness for order placement.
• Leading the generation of techno-commercial proposals.
• Participating in customer meetings, negotiations, or presentations.
• Overseeing the advance release and short cycle processes.
• Managing the transition of projects from the ITO (inquiry-to-order) phase to the OTR (order-to-remittance) phase for execution teams following the reception of purchase orders or contracts.
• Attending technical and commercial training sessions.
• Contributing to the ongoing improvement of commercial processes, proposal templates, application guides, and best practices within the area of specialization.
• Achieving or exceeding commercial KPIs such as Quality, Proposal Cycle Time, and On-Time Delivery.
• Bachelor of Engineering degree (preferably in mechanical, electrical, electronic, or power) with a minimum of 4 years of experience in application/design and/or field service in industrial control systems, or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Unit Control systems (Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Aero, Hydro, Nuclear), DCS, Generator (Excitation/Static Starters), Human Machine Interface (HMI), and Cyber.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for short customer meetings and opportunity development.
• Proficiency in commercial and contractual matters.
• Strong skills in Personal Computer Technologies, including MS Office and quoting tools such as Salesforce and CPQ.
• Experience in developing and drafting specifications and/or proposals.
