This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accountable for the timely examination of policy details, including all pertinent endorsements and vehicle schedules, to assess coverage for loss, damage, or injury.
• Carry out a thorough claims examination and investigation that leads to the conclusive resolution of liability claims, including those under litigation.
• Regular interaction and communication with involved parties, including claimants and their legal counsel, will be necessary.
• Recommendations concerning loss exposure along with reserve and settlement strategies will be effectively conveyed to the client.
• Review, process, and finalize assigned claims, including the investigation and evaluation of complex Commercial Auto and General Liability Casualty Claims.
• Analyze and interpret policies for coverage determination.
• Supervise and guide external investigative service providers while collaborating closely with the client, their counsel, and investigative services to facilitate claim resolution.
• Maintain an up-to-date diary of ongoing claims.
• Continuously evaluate exposure and determine accurate reserves and settlement recommendations.
• Prepare Loss Reports that offer a comprehensive analysis of liability and damages.
• When applicable, assess if subrogation or risk transfer opportunities exist and initiate recovery efforts as directed by the client.
• Document all communications, reports, discussions, and decisions in the claims file record.
• Deliver exceptional service to the client.
• Support Supervisors and the Claims Department with requested tasks or special projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory; a bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, along with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in commercial auto and general liability casualty; or an equivalent combination of advanced education and experience.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Commercial Automobile and General Liability claims is required.
• Understanding of claims handling concepts, practices, and techniques, including knowledge of coverage issues and product lines.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient in computer applications.
• Multi-state adjuster licensure in the home state or designated state and/or the capability to obtain licenses through home state reciprocity or state adjuster examinations.
