This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Achieve or surpass sales quotas while nurturing strong relationships with customers.

• Clearly communicate the advantages of GitLab to our Commercial clients and prospects in the US Eastern region.

• Take full ownership and act as the CEO of your designated business territory:

• Record the buying criteria and process, next steps, and responsible parties.

• Develop a robust sales pipeline through consistent and effective prospecting activities.

• Identify and secure new business opportunities to grow your territory.

• Foster the adoption of our solutions while striving to minimize churn and contraction.

• Collaborate with our Partner ecosystem to generate new business and enhance value for customers.

• Generate precise forecasts for each quarter aligned with your plan and budget.

• Drive participation in our events, which you will attend to further engage with current and potential customers.

• Participate in root cause analyses regarding wins and losses.

• Share insights and lessons learned with the team, including account managers, marketing, and technical teams.

• Assist in updating our sales handbook with documented improvements.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams such as Customer Success, Renewals, and Sales Development to provide leadership on accounts, ensuring positive outcomes in both pre- and post-sales processes.

• Represent the voice of the customer by contributing product ideas to our public issue tracker.

• Master MEDPICC and Command of the Message for all opportunities.


⛳️ Requirements

• A genuine passion for ensuring customers gain value from their investment in GitLab.

• Proven experience in SaaS sales, particularly in presenting value to development teams (preferably in devops).

• A keen interest in GitLab and open-source software.

• Ability to utilize established relationships and successful sales techniques to achieve results.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Highly motivated, driven, and results-focused.

• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing abilities.

• Preferred familiarity with Git, Software Development Tools, and Application Lifecycle Management.

• Alignment with our values and a commitment to working in accordance with them.

• Willingness to travel regularly for in-person customer meetings and adherence to the company’s travel policy.
