This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Oversee sales initiatives for all 3M products and portfolios within the collision repair segment of 3M’s Automotive Aftermarket Division (US).
• Execute sales programs, plans, and policies as agreed upon with your direct supervisor.
• Establish priorities, frequencies, and call patterns to optimize effective and productive sales efforts.
• Assist in headquarters, regional, and zone campaigns, initiatives, and priorities.
• Develop business plans for end users and offer solutions to everyday challenges.
• Monitor and evaluate all sales activities using 3M’s customer relationship management (CRM) tool.
• Operate a company vehicle while adhering to pre-employment and ongoing motor vehicle history review standards.
• Abide by corporate policies, procedures, and security protocols.
• Adhere to safety regulations, identify hazards, and participate in ongoing improvement initiatives.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution, completed and verified before starting, along with two years of sales and/or Automotive Aftermarket industry experience; OR a high school diploma from an accredited institution, completed and verified prior to employment, plus six or more years of sales experience in lieu of the bachelor’s degree requirement.
• A current and valid driver’s license.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status.
• Technical knowledge and expertise in the automotive repair industry.
• Strong financial understanding.
• Ability to build relationships and a competitive spirit.
• Organizational skills and self-motivated qualities.
• Proficient time and territory management abilities.
• Experience in adjacent markets such as industrial, marine, government, or aerospace.
• Familiarity with digital solutions including inventory management, calibration, or estimating.
• Background as a manufacturing sales professional or distribution sales professional.
• Proven experience in product demonstrations to key stakeholders or influencers.
• Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM tools.
