• Deliver personalized academic mentorship in various subjects and standardized tests, helping students identify their strengths, alleviate stress, and tackle academic hurdles.
• Partner with students throughout the application journey, advising on profile enhancement, essay brainstorming and revisions, application submission, test score strategies, and deferral correspondence.
• Ensure consistent communication with parents and students regarding assignments, meetings, and progress related to their college applications.
• Openness to flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends, with a commitment to the position for at least one complete academic year.
• 3-5 years of experience in college admissions consulting, engaging directly with students and their families.
• Demonstrated success in overseeing, developing, and/or completing intricate projects within tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• A Bachelor's degree from a prestigious, nationally accredited university is mandatory.
• A strong preference for an academic background in the humanities.
• Outstanding writing capabilities.
• Strong editing proficiency.
• Effective communication skills with a diverse range of individuals, including executives, students, parents, and fellow coaches.
• Comprehensive understanding of the college admissions landscape and the requirements for students to secure admission into premier universities worldwide.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and G Suite; familiarity with social media platforms is an advantage.
