Collections Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee a team of 2–5 Collections Associates.

• Take responsibility for complete collections operations, including inbound and outbound follow-ups, payment tracking, and dispute resolution.

• Enhance collections efficiency, recovery rates, and turnaround time on outstanding invoices.

• Establish, monitor, and improve team performance metrics.

• Manage communication with customers and vendors regarding payment recovery.

• Address escalations and resolve complex or sensitive issues.

• Develop and refine collections workflows, systems, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, and Operations teams.

• Ensure accurate reporting of collections data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in Collections, Accounts Receivable (AR), or financial operations, or experience in operations/project management within fast-paced environments.

• A minimum of 2 years in a managerial role overseeing a team of 2-5 individuals.

• Strong data analysis skills, particularly with Excel, dashboards, and tracking metrics.

• Capability to define and monitor key metrics such as collections efficiency, agent productivity, call volume, and conversion rates.

• Demonstrated ability to enhance processes or workflows.

• Strong sense of ownership and a proactive execution mindset.

• Excellent communication skills, particularly for handling challenging conversations.

• Ability to make independent decisions and act swiftly.
