Collections Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Investigate unpaid claims, identify the root causes of denials, and carry out necessary follow-up actions to guarantee prompt claim adjudication.

• Recognize and take suitable measures regarding the billing of secondary or tertiary insurances.

• Stay updated on all current relevant regulations and requirements from third-party payers.

• Relay payer trends and patterns to management.

• Document all actions taken regarding account resolution within a patient's record.

• Analyze, understand, and implement payer logic as outlined in negotiated contracts.

• Organize workflow to minimize or eradicate bad debt flow, thereby reducing days in Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Achieve and uphold productivity and audit standards.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

• 2-3 years of experience in medical collections is preferred.

• Results-driven and thrives in a dynamic, high-energy environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT, and HCPCs.

• Skilled in analyzing claims to ensure reimbursement complies with contractual obligations.
