Collections Agent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ghana.

📋 Description

• Reach out to borrowers with overdue payments via phone, SMS, and in-person meetings to collect outstanding amounts.

• Perform organized field visits to borrower locations throughout Accra and designated areas.

• Negotiate repayment arrangements and settlements in accordance with company policy.

• Maintain precise and current records of all interactions, visits, and results within our loan management system.

• Collaborate with the credit and risk team to prioritize accounts based on delinquency status and risk assessment.

• Promptly escalate unresolved or high-risk accounts to the Collections Team Lead.

• Achieve monthly collection goals and recovery rate key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Represent Oze with professionalism in every engagement; our reputation in the field is crucial.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2+ years of experience in loan collections, field recovery, or credit collections (experience in fintech, microfinance, or banking is highly preferred).

• A demonstrated history of meeting and surpassing collections objectives.

• Strong skills in negotiation, persuasion, and conflict resolution — capable of managing challenging conversations while ensuring the borrower remains willing to pay.

• Proficient in English; knowledge of Twi is a significant advantage, and familiarity with other Ghanaian languages (Ga, Ewe, Hausa) is beneficial given the diversity in Accra.

• Extensive knowledge of Accra — able to navigate the city effectively.

• Self-driven and resilient; comfortable working autonomously in the field.

• Experience with loan management systems or CRM tools is advantageous.

• Valid identification, readiness to travel within the assigned territory, and possession of a smartphone with dependable internet access.
