Collaborative Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is tasked with delivering exceptional psychiatric care to patients, particularly focusing on children, adolescents, and young adults dealing with anxiety and OCD.

• Performing clinical follow-up appointments and offering ongoing medication management to facilitate continuous improvement in patient outcomes.

• Functioning within an interdisciplinary, physician-supported care framework, working closely with Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists (MD/DO).

• Assessing and interpreting specific medical monitoring through primary care physician offices related to prescribed medications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, with a focus on Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

• A valid, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and prescriptive authority (DEA) in New Jersey (NJ) or Massachusetts (MA).

• At least 2 years of clinical experience, directly treating children, adolescents, and young adults with anxiety and OCD.

• Demonstrated clinical expertise and experience in psychopharmacology for anxiety, OCD, and related disorders among pediatric and youth populations.

• Proven experience collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.

• Capacity to adapt and perform well both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, mission-driven setting.

• Proficiency in fully virtual care and adeptness with computer and mobile technology to enhance care delivery, communication, and monitoring.

• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information in a way that fosters confidence and trust.
