This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage in pursuit, sales, and initiatives, taking ownership of increasingly complex responsibilities while supporting strategic objectives.
• Contribute to the delivery of private-sector projects by integrating construction-aware insights related to scope definition, delivery methods, sequencing, and risk management for private-sector project development.
• Assess private-sector client requirements by leveraging extensive knowledge of products/services and industry trends, while considering budgets, scheduling factors, operational priorities, and delivery risks in collaboration with client service teams.
• Cultivate and identify sales opportunities with both new and existing clients, particularly within the private sector and alternative delivery markets.
• Collaborate with business units and contractor partners to build relationships and support commercial frameworks for teamwork and execution.
• Work alongside senior team members on complex sales initiatives and provide assistance as required.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to aid early project planning, develop delivery strategies, engage with clients, and have opportunities to lead aspects of strategic initiatives.
• Support the creation and implementation of operational and market strategies that enhance growth and positioning in collaborative/alternative delivery markets and private-sector projects.
• Establish collaborative delivery methodologies and uphold robust engineering, commercial, and construction delivery systems.
• Execute risk management tasks and ensure compliance with established project guidelines.
• May also assist colleagues with critical or complex sales efforts and, at times, project delivery.
• Aid BC teams and client teams in defining and implementing various collaborative delivery procurement strategies as a trusted advisor.
• Assist Client Service Teams with IPD-related educational initiatives and growth strategies for targeted private-sector clients.
• Maintain a database of client opportunities.
• Through research and relationship-building, develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of future IPD in conjunction with geographic assignments and CSMs.
• Formulate effective project development strategies, including identifying and engaging suitable teaming partners in beneficial arrangements that serve BC and its clients' interests.
• Exhibit flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and accept additional tasks to support pursuit and delivery requirements.
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and knowledge-sharing to assist less experienced team members in skill development and career growth.
• Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of experience in infrastructure programs and collaborative delivery, with progressively increasing responsibility in sales, strategy, or project development.
• Proven negotiation and sales skills with a successful track record of closing significant deals.
• Comprehensive knowledge of commercial frameworks for teamwork and execution.
• Strong understanding of engineering and construction delivery processes, along with risk management principles.
• Excellent strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to drive market growth and positioning.
• Familiarity with project delivery methods.
• Capacity to successfully identify new business opportunities, such as program, design-build, and owner advisor prospects, and make informed decisions regarding the pursuit of these opportunities.
• Ability to identify suitable new markets for BC’s collaborative delivery services and devise plans for establishing profitable client relationships and projects in these new domains, including understanding required skills, comparing them with current BC capabilities, identifying personnel needed for market capture, and leading the preparation of strategically significant collaborative delivery proposals and related sales activities to secure new opportunities.
