Collaborating Psychiatrist – Clinical, Supervisory Role

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Offer clinical supervision and guidance to PMHNPs in line with state regulations and psychiatric board standards.

• Engage in initial and ongoing chart assessments, case discussions, and quality assurance efforts.

• Assist PMHNPs in conducting complex psychiatric evaluations, making differential diagnoses, and formulating treatment plans as necessary.

• Ensure adherence to all regulatory and licensing standards pertaining to psychiatric NP supervision.

• Contribute to continuous clinical education, implementation of best practices, and development of policies.

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and manage medication sessions.

• Create, implement, and oversee personalized treatment plans.

• Deliver evidence-based psychiatric care for various mental health issues (e.g., mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, ADHD, etc.).

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, case managers, and social workers.

• Keep clinical documentation current within the EMR system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) with completed residency training in Psychiatry.

• Board Certification in Psychiatry (ABPN).

• Active and unrestricted medical license in multiple states, or willingness to obtain licensure in multiple states.

• At least 2 years of post-residency experience, ideally with supervisory or collaborative experience alongside PMHNPs.

• Profound understanding of the NP scope of practice in psychiatry and associated state regulations.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and mentorship abilities.
