Collaborating Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Act as a collaborating physician for Icon Health APPs operating in Florida.

• Assist with licensing, credentialing, CAQH updates, payer enrollment, and other administrative requirements.

• Be accessible via phone or other electronic means when APPs are delivering medical services, as mandated by applicable law and the Practice Agreement.

• Offer clinical collaboration, guidance, and consultation when APPs face patient care situations that exceed their competence, education, training, or experience.

• Facilitate appropriate referrals or escalations to a physician or other healthcare professional when clinically necessary.

• Engage in Icon Health’s APP competency and qualification evaluation process, including peer review activities in line with the applicable standard of care.

• Work in conjunction with Icon Health to ensure that APPs possess the qualifications, training, and experience required to deliver authorized medical services, procedures, and medication/device ordering or furnishing activities.

• Regularly review and endorse the Practice Agreement, supporting updates when changes in conditions, circumstances, regulations, or clinical operations occur.

• Timely sign necessary collaboration, credentialing, and regulatory documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board certified in Family Medicine.

• Fellowship trained in Sports Medicine.

• Actively licensed and in good standing in Florida.

• Residing and practicing in the state of Florida.

• Comfortable in a collaborative physician role for APPs.

• Responsive, organized, and prepared to act swiftly to facilitate credentialing submissions and CAQH profile updates.
