Coding Specialist – Consultant, Medical Controlling Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Independent execution of ORBIS MedCo products (including RICO DRG and PEPP, MedCo Dashboards, etc.)

• Deployment of MedCo IT solutions through installation, configuration, commissioning, and handover to clients

• Leading kick-off meetings and facilitating working group sessions

• Analyzing internal processes

• Preparing and following up on project-specific meetings, training sessions, and customer workshops

• Assuming leadership for subprojects

• Conducting as-is analyses and formulating target-state concepts

• Compiling conceptual documentation

• Collaborating with project management, support, and product management teams

• Assisting in the expansion and maintenance of the RICO rule set

⛳️ Requirements

• Medical or nursing qualification OR a related field qualification

• Additional qualification in medical controlling

• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in operational and strategic medical controlling in Germany

• Strong understanding of the German coding guidelines, ICD‑10, and OPS

• Familiarity with billing regulations and the DRG or PEPP systems

• Consulting experience and/or knowledge of ORBIS KIS is preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with colleagues and clients

• Team-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable working style

• Willingness to travel up to approximately 60% across D-A-CH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)

• Proficient in written and spoken German and English
