Coding Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Oversee the organization, development, monitoring, and management of the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program for Interim Healthcare.

• Execute accurate ICD-10 coding and review all OASIS assessments.

• Cultivate a professional atmosphere that encourages employee growth and the achievement of organizational objectives through training and educational resources.

• Partner with the VP of Quality to deliver training for both new and existing employees on OASIS, utilizing virtual platforms as necessary.

• Act as a resource for up-to-date information regarding national, state, and regional requirements, standards, and clinical practice guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred nursing experience with an active license in the states where they are employed and practicing.

• At least one (1) year of QA experience within the past five (5) years.

• Certification as an OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C) and Home Care Clinical Specialist – OASIS (HCS-O) is mandatory.

• A solid understanding of CMS Conditions of Participation in Home Health Services is required.

• Familiarity with federal and state home health licensure regulations is necessary.

• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, compliance, and reimbursement guidelines is essential.
