This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop Aptarro RCX rules based on NCDs, LCDs, Carrier Policies, and CCI edits
• Verify that medically necessary ICD-10 codes and suitable modifiers are included prior to submission
• Deliver extensive coding education and training programs
• Train healthcare providers on best documentation practices
• Offer guidance, mentorship, and support on intricate coding inquiries
• Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and feedback
• Educate physicians, APPs, and support staff, providing constructive feedback
• Uphold quality and productivity standards while monitoring compliance
• Identify trends in processes and suggest improvements for efficiency
• Stay updated on coding guidelines and state as well as federal regulations
• Ensure compliance with coding, documentation, compliance, and reimbursement regulations
• Organize training for new RCM Charge Capture hires
• Facilitate ongoing training for Charge Capture team members
• Collaborate with peers in Coding and Revenue Integrity, along with other functional areas
• Engage in special projects and undertake other assigned responsibilities
• Safeguard patient confidentiality and report any suspected compliance issues
• CPC, CCS-P, CMRS, or AAPC certification is mandatory
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience is necessary
• Familiarity with Medical Billing and Coding Terminology at the entry level is preferred
• Experience in Urology or a physician practice environment is advantageous
• Understanding of medical terminology, CPT, ICD coding, and the revenue cycle process
• Proficiency in EHR software systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Capability to generate reports and create presentations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and business lines
• Proficient in managing multiple tasks and resolving problems
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations
• Capacity to maintain organization, accuracy, confidentiality, productivity, and efficiency
