Coder Specialist III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.

📋 Description

• Responsible for coding emergency room visits, outpatient procedures, outpatient surgeries, observations, and inpatient cases.

• Handles CCI/medical necessity edits as required.

• Tracks unbilled accounts for all patient categories on a daily basis.

• Ensures quality of coding is maintained at 95% or higher.

• Achieves productivity levels of 95% or greater.

• Participates in required continuing education.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification from AHIMA.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.

• Achieve a score of 80% or higher on the outpatient and inpatient coding exams.

• Proven understanding of basic ICD-10 standards along with anatomy and physiology.

• Demonstrated proficiency in PC and software applications.

• Must be able to achieve a score of 80% or higher on the outpatient and inpatient coding exams.
