Coder Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.

📋 Description

• Responsible for coding emergency room and/or outpatient cases.

• Addresses CCI/medical necessity edits as required.

• Oversees unbilled accounts for emergency room and outpatient services, ensuring all accounts are coded daily.

• Maintains a quality standard of 95% or higher.

• Achieves productivity levels of 95% or greater.

• Engages in continuing education as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.

• Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None required, CCS preferred.

• Work Experience: Coder from an accredited program with a score of 80% or more on the outpatient coding exam. 0-6 months of work experience.

• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proven knowledge of basic ICD 10 training along with anatomy and physiology.

• Demonstrated proficiency in PC and software applications.

• Must achieve a score of 80% or higher on the outpatient coding exam.
