This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Convert health care services and procedures into standardized codes for inpatient accounts.
• Collaborate with Epic work quests to ensure timely coding, billing, and accounts receivable management.
• Liaise with providers, coders, and clinical documentation specialists to ensure comprehensive patient record documentation.
• Develop, oversee, and address all compliant documentation clarification requests to query providers for resolving incomplete documentation.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Health Information Technology/Health Information Management, or a high school diploma along with a Certificate of Completion in the AHIMA Coding Basics Program and Coding Assessment and Training Solutions Program.
• Must successfully pass the internal coding examination.
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
• At least 1 year of experience in inpatient coding.
• CCS certification is required.
