This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Responsible for assigning ICD-10-CM codes, along with CPT/HCPCS codes for medical record accounts in the emergency department.

• Extracts essential data elements necessary for billing, regulatory compliance, and various databases.

• Evaluates records for clinical relevance and accurate documentation.

• Engages with providers to clarify documentation as needed.

• Analyzes and resolves claim edits pertinent to emergency department visits.

• Aids in the correction of minor coding errors associated with visits.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of RHIT, RHIA, CEDC, COC, CPC, CCS-P, or CCS credentials.

• Minimum of three years of coding experience.

• Experience working in a remote setting is essential.
