Cloud Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Oversees the complete process from idea generation to delivery and production of cloud solution architectures.

• Collaborates with business and technology subject-matter experts to gather and interpret business requirements into tech solutions.

• Engages in the design and modeling of cloud architectures for the development, delivery, and support of various projects.

• Works with other domain architects to create a scalable and adaptable cloud architectural solution through consensus.

• Contributes to roadmaps to guarantee sufficient architectural runway that aligns IT priorities with the needs and strategies of business partners.

• Advocates for the reuse of services, components, frameworks, and infrastructure as code to lower costs and enhance information flow.

• Assists team members in designing and deploying cloud strategies and solutions.

• Seeks opportunities to simplify both existing and new architectures, as well as vendor dependencies.

• Establishes and nurtures trusted technical advisory relationships with key technical decision-makers in Technology.

• Provides suggestions to enhance application operational efficiency, boost program usage, and improve understanding of the program.

• Designs both the physical and logical aspects of solution architectures aimed at achieving positive business outcomes.

• Collaborates closely with Enterprise and Business Solutions Architecture to ensure adherence to the Regions' architectural principles and patterns.

• Offers feedback to Enterprise and Business Solutions Architecture on potential deviations from or necessary changes to existing architectural principles and patterns.

• Works in close partnership with Cyber Security to grasp the requirements for network, application, and data security.

• Engages with all stakeholders to identify non-functional requirements that could significantly affect cloud solution architecture.

• Collaborates with software delivery teams to guarantee that cloud solutions are designed to be observable and secure.

• Manages technical analysis and design capabilities.

• Ensures adherence to risk management programs, rules, regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for process improvements; employs disciplined change management practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, along with five (5) years of experience in enterprise, solutions, and/or technical architecture.

• Alternatively, a High School Diploma/GED accompanied by nine (9) years of experience in enterprise, solutions, and/or technical architecture.

• Familiarity with N-tier architectures and complex design architectures.

• Experience with Agile methodologies.

• Knowledge of technical, application, and information architecture delivery techniques and methodologies.

• Possession of certifications, specifically the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect Certification.
