This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and deploy internal applications, services, and shared libraries from API through to the data layer.
• Design, query, and optimize our managed data platforms while ensuring the health of schemas, migrations, and query performance.
• Maintain the internal SDK that directs applications through the model gateway, injects keys, and incorporates tracing and cost headers, enabling teams to write less code while maintaining control over prompts and guardrails.
• Operate and strengthen the model gateway utilized by all teams, ensuring high availability across zones and maintaining clean development, staging, and production environments.
• Construct and manage the cloud services supporting the platform, including container computing, managed databases, caching, storage, and secrets management.
• Build and manage the CI/CD pipelines, container registry, and monorepo tools that every application relies on.
• Take ownership of platform security maintenance by promptly patching CVEs and addressing security findings during business hours.
• Collaborate with the Security team to implement essential safety controls, such as image and code scanning, secret scanning, access control, identity and sign-on, and audit logging.
• Ensure the platform remains reliable and observable through effective logging, tracing, issue resolution, and ongoing improvements.
• Enhance cost visibility by tagging usage, creating spend and chargeback views, and assisting in managing expenses sensibly.
• Produce clear documentation and offer practical support to facilitate seamless team adoption of the platform.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or DevOps, with a focus on hands-on coding.
• Proficient coding skills in at least two of the following languages: TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, and Python, along with a solid understanding of software fundamentals such as testing, code review, and clean API design.
• Strong database expertise, including schema design, SQL, and query optimization, preferably with Postgres.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with AWS, having built and managed real services across compute, databases, networking, IAM, and commonly used managed services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and source control workflows.
• Practical experience with LLM and AI tools at the application level, including model APIs, prompts, retrieval, and guardrails.
• Comfortable managing security maintenance, including swiftly addressing CVEs and handling incidents during business hours.
• A solid understanding of access control, identity management, logging, and maintaining system security.
