This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the escalation contact for Tier 2 issues, independently addressing intricate technical challenges, such as backup failures, replication issues, and recovery situations.

• Manage and troubleshoot data protection platforms (Commvault, Zerto, Acronis, Cohesity, or similar), ensuring that customer environments align with their RTO/RPO needs.

• Assist customers during DR events, which includes executing failovers, conducting validation tests, and preparing post-recovery documentation.

• Guide and mentor Support Agents, focusing on skill enhancement and best practices related to data protection workflows and escalation processes.

• Manage overflow customer calls as a subject matter expert, guaranteeing precise and comprehensive trouble ticket documentation.

• Engage in special projects and tasks as assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Administrative experience in two or more of the following technology domains: Data Protection (Commvault, Zerto, Acronis, Cohesity, or equivalent backup/DR platforms), which includes policy configuration, job monitoring, troubleshooting, and execution of recovery.

• Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux (Red Hat, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu, etc.).

• Hypervisors: Nutanix AHV, VMware ESXi, KVM.

• Public Cloud: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud.

• Tools: Monitoring or security platforms.

• Proven experience with backup architecture, replication strategies, and disaster recovery planning or implementation.

• Availability for after-hours support and participation in an on-call rotation.

• Experience in a data center, service provider, or telecommunications setting.

• Certifications in Data Protection, Disaster Recovery, Cloud, Storage, or VDI are highly preferred (Zerto ZTCP, Commvault Certified Professional, or similar).
