Cloud Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• You will be responsible for the management and advancement of OpenStack-based private clouds, with an emphasis on reliability, upgrades, automation, and addressing real infrastructure challenges across compute, network, and storage.

• Oversee and enhance an OpenStack private cloud (operations, upgrades, stability).

• Automate infrastructure tasks.

• Diagnose infrastructure issues spanning Linux, virtualization, storage, and networking.

• Enhance observability, reliability, and security standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience.

• Practical experience with OpenStack in a production environment.

• Proficient in Linux systems administration.

• Experience with virtualization technologies (KVM or equivalent).

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANs, routing, firewalls, load balancing).

• Experience in infrastructure automation (Ansible is required; Terraform is a plus).

• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.

• Strong understanding of storage systems (Ceph, NFS, iSCSI, or similar).

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently.

• Proficient in English communication (both written and spoken).
