Cloud Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Engage in the on-call rotation and address incidents affecting the availability of Neo4j cloud infrastructure.

• Provide support and oversee customers’ Neo4j database infrastructure during business hours as well as during occasional scheduled off-hours.

• Manage and resolve escalations related to cloud-hosted environments.

• Enhance, document, and automate operational processes such as deployments and upgrades.

• Collect and analyze operating system and Neo4j database metrics for performance tuning and incident diagnostics.

• Document incidents, procedures, and communications with customers; contribute to the development of the Cloud Managed Services knowledge base.

• Install and upgrade servers, storage solutions, and databases for Cloud Managed Service clients.

• Diagnose cluster issues across servers, data centers, and regions in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, as well as in virtual and bare-metal environments.

• Work collaboratively with Customers, Customer Success, Product Engineering, and other Neo4j teams to resolve customer issues.

• Actively identify problems, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a cloud infrastructure administrator is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Computing Systems, or a related field is necessary.

• Experience with Linux operating systems such as RedHat, CentOS, or Amazon Linux is essential.

• Significant experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure is mandatory.

• Proficient command-level knowledge of Linux environments.

• Familiarity with Linux/Windows diagnostics and tuning is advantageous.

• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes is preferred.

• Knowledge of Nagios and Prometheus is desirable.

• Neo4j Certified Professional certification is a plus.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Detail-oriented with strong collaborative, verbal, and communication skills.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-energy, multitasking environment.
