This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design, develop, and maintain a highly available and scalable server infrastructure across both on-premise and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows Server), virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and IBM AS400/iSeries.
• Monitor system performance, pinpoint bottlenecks, and implement proactive measures to ensure optimal system health and uptime.
• Create and sustain automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for system administration tasks, configuration management (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef), and infrastructure as code.
• Oversee and maintain enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and business continuity.
• Implement and uphold security best practices, vulnerability management, and compliance standards for all managed systems.
• Collaborate with development, network, and security teams to assist with application deployments, troubleshoot issues, and enhance infrastructure.
• Offer technical leadership and mentoring to junior administrators, aiding in team skill growth.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical system support and incident resolution.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting manuals.
• Assess and suggest new technologies and solutions to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in systems administration, focusing on enterprise-level environments.
• Expert-level proficiency in Linux operating systems (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server administration.
• Strong experience with virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V).
• Experience with IBM AS400/iSeries.
• Demonstrated experience with AWS, including IaaS and PaaS services.
• Familiarity with Azure is a plus.
• Experience with AI tools.
• Proven ability to write and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Load Balancing).
• Some experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Familiarity with database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to diagnose complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., MCSA, RHCE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate) are a plus.
• Proficiency in English in a business context is essential.
