Cloud Infrastructure & IT Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Administration and enhancement of the cloud infrastructure utilizing AWS.

• Oversight and monitoring of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Route53, ELB, Lambda, and IAM.

• Operation, maintenance, and optimization of Windows, Linux, and hybrid system environments.

• Provide support for internal users at both 1st and 2nd level.

• Creation and management of user accounts, roles, and permissions (Active Directory / Entra ID / IAM).

• Monitoring of network components, VPNs, firewalls, and adherence to security policies.

• Planning and execution of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

• Assisting with infrastructure projects and automation through Terraform and Docker.

• Monitoring systems to ensure optimal performance, stability, and availability.

• Development and upkeep of technical documentation and knowledge bases.

• Involvement in IT security, compliance, and cloud optimization initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed vocational training or a degree in computer science, system integration, IT administration, or a related field.

• Several years of experience in managing cloud and IT infrastructures.

• Strong knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.

• Experience with Windows and Linux servers.

• Good understanding of networking and security issues (VPN, DNS, firewalls, routing).

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Entra ID is a plus.

• Desirable knowledge of automation and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).

• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, or container technologies is advantageous.

• Understanding of monitoring, backup, and recovery principles.

• Structured, independent, and solution-focused working approach.

• Strong service orientation along with excellent teamwork and communication skills.

• Proficient in both German and English, spoken and written.

• AWS certifications are beneficial but not mandatory.
