Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Cloud Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain an automation framework and scripts to enhance security processes and workflows.

• Deploy and manage AWS resources using Terraform, ensuring a secure and scalable infrastructure.

• Implement innovative security solutions to reduce the mean time to detection and response.

• Optimize and implement AWS Step Functions and Lambda for serverless automation workflows.

• Leverage AWS security-focused services (such as IAM, Control Tower, KMS, Macie, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, EventBridge) to enhance cloud security.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security automation into CI/CD pipelines.

• Monitor and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• 3+ years of professional experience in Python, Go, or equivalent development focused on automation.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS technologies, particularly security-focused services (IAM, KMS, Control Tower, Macie, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, EventBridge, etc.).

• Proficiency in writing and developing infrastructure as code using Terraform.

• Knowledge of AWS Step Functions and AWS Lambda for serverless architectures.

• Experience with SIEM, IPS, and vulnerability scanners.

• Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team environment.

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
