This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, construct, and sustain scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure on AWS utilizing Infrastructure as Code best practices.
• Take ownership of and enhance our Atmos-based IaC framework, which includes stack configuration, component architecture, and environment lifecycle management.
• Develop and manage Terraform and OpenTofu modules and components, ensuring reusability, consistency, and adherence to DRY principles across environments.
• Lead and advance our CI/CD infrastructure pipelines using GitHub Actions, facilitating reliable and automated infrastructure deployments.
• Oversee containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes (Helm), providing support to our engineering and data science teams.
• Construct and maintain observability infrastructure using Prometheus and Grafana to guarantee system reliability, performance visibility, and swift incident response.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, scientists, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into solid infrastructure solutions.
• Lead and engage in development lifecycle activities, including design, code reviews, testing, and production releases.
• Mentor and support fellow engineers by thoroughly reviewing infrastructure code and raising engineering standards across the team.
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of our engineering culture, standards, tooling, and processes.
• Adhere to Vibrant Planet’s Information Security Policy and the comprehensive security responsibilities outlined in the Employee Handbook, which includes completing required security training, safeguarding customer and company data, securing credentials, and reporting suspected security incidents or policy violations through established channels.
• Follow secure development practices, comply with established change management processes for production systems, protect the confidentiality and integrity of customer data, and promptly address security vulnerabilities in your area of responsibility.
• 5+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering, with a minimum of 3 years dedicated to cloud infrastructure or platform engineering.
• Extensive expertise in Terraform and/or OpenTofu, including module authoring, state management, and multi-environment strategies.
• Strong familiarity with AWS, encompassing core services such as EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, and associated networking and security features.
• Experience in managing containerized infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes (Helm-based deployments).
• Proficient in Python for infrastructure automation, tooling, and scripting.
• Background in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions for infrastructure workflows.
• Experience operating Postgres in production, including high availability configurations and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with observability tools, particularly Prometheus and Grafana for metrics, alerting, and dashboards.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of discussing complex technical concepts with both engineers and non-engineers effortlessly.

• Ability to write clear, testable infrastructure code with a focus on maintainability and long-term operability.
