Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain Kubernetes-based deployment strategies for a multi-service application.

• Create, manage, and version Helm charts that support various environments (development, testing, staging, production).

• Enforce secure configuration management practices, including secrets, certificates, RBAC, and network policies.

• Resolve intricate deployment, integration, and runtime challenges across distributed systems.

• Act as the primary escalation contact for production issues, facilitating root cause analysis and resolution.

• Deliver direct support to internal teams and/or clients, encompassing issue triage, communication, and resolution tracking.

• Enhance cluster performance, resource utilization, and cost-effectiveness.

• Collaborate with development teams to refine containerization and deployment methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.

• US citizenship and capability to obtain a Top-Secret/SCI clearance.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting aptitude.

• Significant experience with containerization (Docker, Podman, CRI-O, or similar).

• Proficiency in scripting for automation and operational tasks (Ansible, Python, Bash, or similar).

• Extensive hands-on experience in administering and securing Kubernetes environments.

• Solid hands-on experience in securing and maintaining Helm charts.

• Proficient with Git and Git-based workflows.

• Strong background in Linux/SELinux system administration.

• Familiarity with system context and security context configurations.

• Experience with container sockets and an understanding of the associated security implications.
