Cloud Engineering Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the health, performance, and cost of GCP infrastructure utilizing Cloud Monitoring, BigQuery, and associated tools.

• Assist with incident triage, manage tickets (Jira), and perform basic troubleshooting of cloud resources.

• Support IAM access reviews, conduct security audits, and perform compliance checks (e.g., public GCS bucket exposure, role assignments across projects).

• Create and uphold operational dashboards and reports for stakeholders and team leaders.

• Aid in routine automation via Terraform, gcloud CLI, or Python/Bash scripting (e.g., lifecycle policies, IAM provisioning).

• Assist with patching, backups, and fundamental configuration management tasks on GCE/GKE workloads.

• Create documentation for standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain runbooks.

• Collaborate with senior engineers on escalations, change requests, and CSPM/security remediation tasks.

• Participate in on-call rotation for basic L1/L2 support (as applicable).

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in cloud operations, IT infrastructure, or a DevOps-related role.

• Proficient knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP); familiarity with AWS or Azure is advantageous.

• Basic understanding of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, Cloud NAT).

• Knowledge of Linux server administration fundamentals.

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, particularly Terraform.

• Basic scripting abilities (Python or Bash).

• Familiarity with ticketing and reporting tools (Jira or similar).

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
