Cloud Engineer – Senior (Platform)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to become part of our expanding team. The ideal candidate should possess experience in cloud infrastructure, networking, and security, and will be tasked with operating, monitoring, and maintaining various Azure subscriptions and their corresponding global applications.

• This position is centered around cloud infrastructure. As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will collaborate with data professionals, software engineers, and business stakeholders to develop, maintain, and support scalable, efficient, and secure pipelines and solutions.

• The role encompasses both engineering and operational responsibilities, requiring a balance of design tasks and incident management (ticket resolution).

• Key Responsibilities

• - Design, build, and manage Azure infrastructure utilizing Terraform modules (IaaS and PaaS resources) for new projects as well as upgrades in production environments.

• - Diagnose problems in IaaS and PaaS environments, address incidents through ServiceNow, and ensure compliance with SLAs.

• - Create and sustain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, playbooks, runbooks, and best practices.

• - Work in conjunction with business units, offering advice on application design and infrastructure utilization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency with essential Azure services, including:

• - Resource Manager

• - Virtual Machines / Scale Sets

• - Storage (Blob / Files)

• - Networking (VNets, NSGs, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, DNS, Private Link)

• Experience managing Windows or Linux systems, accompanied by robust troubleshooting abilities.

• Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

• Proficiency in Terraform.

• Capability to work autonomously, demonstrating initiative and strong organizational skills, while meeting deadlines and collaborating effectively within a team.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Desirable:

• - Experience with Bicep and/or ARM Templates.

• - Experience in CI/CD and automation (Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions – YAML).

• - Knowledge of configuration management tools (ideally Ansible).

• - Experience with configuring and managing Kafka, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch.

• - Understanding of scripting languages such as Bash, Shell, or PowerShell.

• - Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
