Cloud Engineer – Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Execute the implementation of landing zones, VPC/VNet networking, IAM, and security standards.

• Provision and set up compute, storage, and database services utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Create and sustain automation pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.

• Design and package applications utilizing the latest containerization and orchestration technologies.

• Set up logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting while applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.

• Generate cost and capacity reports using FinOps tools.

• Develop comprehensive design documents, diagrams, and handover guides.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in cloud solutions with at least one Cloud Service Provider (CSP) (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Proficient in Terraform or an equivalent Infrastructure as Code tool, along with one scripting language.

• Understanding of container runtime fundamentals.

• Experience in constructing CI/CD pipelines and incorporating DevSecOps controls.

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks as well as incident management workflows.

• Strong skills in troubleshooting, documentation, and customer-facing communication.

• Cloud certifications from at least one CSP (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Experience with serverless services (e.g., Lambda, Cloud Functions), event-driven architectures (e.g., SNS/SQS, Event Hub, Pub/Sub), and microservices patterns.

• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI) and security hardening practices.

• Exposure to data platform services and AI/ML tools.
