Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Actively engage in the design, implementation, and operation of cloud solutions on AWS.

• Contribute to architecture, migration, and infrastructure modernization projects for enterprise clients.

• Build and maintain secure, scalable, and automated environments using infrastructure as code, containers, and DevOps practices.

• Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and continuous evolution of cloud platforms.

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure on AWS utilizing services such as EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch, ELB, and Auto Scaling.

• Participate in cloud migration projects (Lift & Shift, Replatforming, and Re-Architecting) for enterprise clients.

• Develop and manage infrastructure as code (Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation), promoting reproducible and controlled environments.

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or Jenkins.

• Manage and deploy container-based solutions using Docker and services like ECS and/or EKS.

• Develop automation scripts using Python and/or Bash to optimize operational tasks and enhance process efficiency.

• Monitor, optimize, and ensure the availability of production environments through observability and monitoring tools.

• Implement security controls and best practices for cloud environments, including IAM, SCPs, guardrails, and AWS account governance.

• Collaborate with development teams to promote the adoption of DevOps practices and deployment automation.

• Document architectures, operational procedures, and technical standards to facilitate scalability and continuity of solutions.

• Participate in estimations, technical definitions, and continuous improvement of cloud platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

• 2 to 4 years of experience working with AWS in production environments.

• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, and CloudWatch.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.

• Experience with Docker and knowledge of ECS and/or EKS.

• Knowledge in automation and scripting using Python and/or Bash.

• Experience implementing or maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar tools.

• Knowledge of networking, security, and best operational practices in cloud environments.

• Experience participating in migration, modernization, or implementation projects of cloud infrastructure.

• Ability to analyze technical problems and propose efficient, scalable, and sustainable solutions.
