Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure on AWS using EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch, ELB, and Auto Scaling.

• Participate in cloud migration projects (Lift & Shift, Replatforming, and Re-Architecting) for enterprise clients.

• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or Jenkins.

• Manage and deploy container-based solutions using Docker, ECS, and/or EKS.

• Create automation scripts using Python and/or Bash.

• Monitor, optimize, and ensure the availability of production environments.

• Implement security controls and best cloud practices, including IAM, SCPs, guardrails, and AWS account governance.

• Collaborate with development teams to enhance DevOps practices and deployment automation.

• Document architectures, operational procedures, and technical standards.

• Participate in estimations, technical definitions, and the continuous improvement of cloud platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

• 2 to 4 years of experience working with AWS in production environments.

• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, and CloudWatch.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.

• Experience with Docker and knowledge of ECS and/or EKS.

• Skills in automation and scripting with Python and/or Bash.

• Experience implementing or maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar tools.

• Knowledge of networking, security, and best operational practices in cloud environments.

• Experience participating in migration, modernization, or cloud infrastructure implementation projects.

• Ability to analyze technical problems and propose efficient, scalable, and sustainable solutions.

• Capability to organize personal workload, make decisions, and meet deadlines and objectives.
