This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and execute a cloud-native data platform (Data Lake / Lakehouse) tailored for clinical, device, and operational data.
• Create scalable data pipelines for: Device telemetry (MQTT ? ingestion ? storage) Clinical data (FHIR / HL7 / EMR integrations)
• Facilitate analytics and reporting utilizing: Amazon Redshift Athena / Glue / S3-based Data Lake
• Guarantee HIPAA-compliant data storage, encryption, and governance practices
• Support both real-time and batch analytics applications
• Design and enable AI/ML applications, including: Predictive alerts (for device failures and patient risk) Clinical insights (for treatment optimization)
• Construct and operationalize MLOps pipelines.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools (such as Codex, Claude, GitHub Copilot) to: Accelerate development Enhance code quality Automate documentation and testing
• Collaborate with data science teams for the deployment of models
• Lead discussions on technical design and oversee the implementation of scalable, maintainable code.
• Assist in architecture development in alignment with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
• Ensure regulatory compliance for traceability, testing, and documentation (IEC 62304, ISO 14971, FDA Class B/C).
• Contribute to AAMI-TIR45 compliant Agile processes, including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and documentation.
• Employ secure coding practices and aid in the implementation of cybersecurity features for interconnected systems.
• Engage in risk analysis, root cause investigations, and design reviews.
• Strong foundation in software architecture, encompassing the AWS well-architected framework.
• Extensive knowledge of AWS services including: IoT Core, Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito RDS / Aurora PostgreSQL S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift (Data Warehouse) EventBridge, SNS, SQS, Kinesis
• Experience in designing: Data Lakes / Lakehouse architectures
• Familiarity with: MLOps and ML platforms (e.g., SageMaker)
• Robust understanding of: Event-driven architecture
• Multi-tenant SaaS systems
• Knowledge of observability frameworks
• Experience with: Prompt engineering for code generation
• AI-assisted debugging and test generation experience
• Capability to establish guardrails for regulated environments.
• Understanding of device identity and certificate lifecycle (PKI, mTLS)
• Expertise in threat modeling for connected devices
• Adherence to: FDA Cybersecurity Guidance ISO 27001 / HITRUST (if applicable)
