This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, test, and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure software tools and microservices tailored for a cloud-native environment.
• Contribute to the architecture of software subsystems, encouraging code reuse and compliance with established engineering best practices.
• Create and integrate custom APIs, including those that expose outputs from AI/ML models for enterprise applications.
• Deploy and oversee cloud-native infrastructure, such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters and Confidential Compute instances, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Implement and sustain CI/CD pipelines to automate the processes of building, testing, and deploying software.
• Set up application monitoring, logging, and alerting using Google Cloud's operations suite (Cloud Logging/Monitoring) to ensure system health and performance.
• Collaborate with security teams to carry out regular patching, address vulnerabilities, and enforce secure coding best practices (OWASP Top 10).
• Engage in peer code reviews, maintain high-quality technical documentation, and work collaboratively to resolve technical challenges.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• DoD 8570.01-M / DoD 8140 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE).
• 3 to 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven proficiency in core programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, or Bash).
• Practical experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes), including the use of container registries.
• Familiarity with building and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Strong understanding of cloud networking (VPCs, firewall rules, load balancing) within a GCP environment.
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Developer certification.
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification (preferred).
• Experience with big data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Apache Airflow (preferred).
