Cloud Data Engineer, Azure, Fabric, Databricks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the design, construction, and delivery of cutting-edge Data & AI solutions on Microsoft Azure.

• Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to create scalable, production-ready data platforms that facilitate analytics, reporting, operational intelligence, and AI workloads.

• Engage throughout the entire project lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, optimization, and client engagement.

• Work in partnership with solution architects, project teams, and customer stakeholders to apply modern lakehouse and data engineering patterns utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and Databricks technologies.

• Provide support across a diverse range of customer environments within both commercial and public sector organizations.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying Microsoft data platform solutions.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining data pipelines utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or similar Azure data services.

• Strong expertise in PySpark, SQL, Python, and contemporary ETL/ELT development patterns is essential.

• Familiarity with lakehouse architectures, medallion data models, and enterprise data engineering methodologies.

• Experience with CI/CD deployment automation via Azure DevOps or GitHub.

• Solid understanding of Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage, and related offerings.

• Background in troubleshooting, optimizing, and supporting production data workloads.

• Experience with T-SQL development, encompassing stored procedures, views, and performance optimization.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for both internal and external client interactions.

• Capability to work autonomously, manage priorities effectively, and deliver high-quality solutions within project timelines.

• Enthusiasm for modern AI productivity and agent technologies, including Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio.

• Knowledge of Data Vault or dimensional modeling methodologies is preferred.
