This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop a comprehensive cloud strategy and oversee the entire migration process from start to finish.

• Identify leading cloud architecture solutions to effectively address the strategic requirements of the organization.

• Design new cloud architecture frameworks to support master planning efforts.

• Validate and align cloud architecture plans with other teams within the United States Army Recruiting Command (USAREC).

• Ensure that Program Team plans and deliverables align with the Government’s overarching architectural framework.

• Create Cloud Engineering and Implementation Plans (EIPs) and present innovative solutions to leadership.

• Collaborate with application teams to transition existing applications from Virtual Machine (VM) servers to the designated cloud environment.

• Develop and implement enterprise-level technical migration initiatives, including both on-premises Private Cloud and off-premises Public Cloud settings.

• Provide guidance on infrastructure migration techniques, including bulk application transfers.

• Support multiple baselines for cloud platforms and their associated configurations.

• Continuously assess cloud applications, hardware, and software while organizing cloud systems.

• Work closely with Cyber Security teams to monitor and ensure compliance with cloud privacy standards.

• Review and make necessary corrections to cloud services and deliverables provided by the engineering team.

• Research and provide recommendations to the Government on emerging cloud technologies and their potential applications.

• Address and resolve technical issues efficiently and professionally.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Current CompTIA Security+ (Sec+) Certification.

• At least 5 years of experience in IT solutions architecture.

• A minimum of 3 years in designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based solutions.

• Demonstrated experience in Systems and Network Engineering.

• Background in the analysis and design of integrating government systems.

• Must have and maintain an active DoD Secret personnel clearance (or the capability to obtain one).
