This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Cloud Architect plays a key role in creating secure, scalable, resilient, and compliant cloud infrastructures that support mission-critical workloads within highly regulated federal environments.
• Design and implement secure, scalable, highly available, and resilient cloud architectures in AWS settings.
• Formulate cloud architecture strategies, reference architectures, design patterns, and technical roadmaps.
• Offer architectural guidance for cloud modernization, migration, and transformation projects.
• Create and deploy hybrid cloud and multi-cloud connectivity solutions.
• Develop solutions that utilize AWS services and technologies such as Direct Connect, Outposts, Inspector, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.
• Ensure that cloud environments comply with federal cybersecurity and compliance standards, including FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, Authority to Operate (ATO), and Continuous Monitoring (ConMon).
• Create and enforce cloud security architecture, governance frameworks, and security controls.
• Integrate security monitoring and visibility features using tools like Splunk.
• Work collaboratively with cybersecurity teams, DevSecOps engineers, developers, program leadership, and federal partners.
• Provide technical advice and architectural oversight throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Assess emerging cloud technologies and propose solutions that enhance security, scalability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Produce and maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, security documentation, and cloud governance standards.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in cloud architecture, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure architecture, or relevant technical disciplines.
• Significant experience in designing and implementing enterprise cloud architectures.
• Strong proficiency with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Practical knowledge of AWS technologies and services, including Direct Connect, Outposts, Inspector, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.
• Deep understanding of cloud security architecture, identity and access management, network security, data protection, and security monitoring.
• Familiarity with federal cybersecurity and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, Authority to Operate (ATO), and Continuous Monitoring (ConMon).
• Experience with security monitoring and analytics platforms like Splunk.
• Background in designing hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments.
• Excellent communication and technical leadership abilities, with a capacity to collaborate with technical teams, leadership, and federal partners.
