This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Advocating for technical excellence by:
• Leading the adoption of best practice architecture for designated clients.
• Designing and constructing solutions in AWS (e.g., Landing Zones, container platforms, application hosting environments, data storage solutions, etc.) utilizing various AWS services such as Control Tower, EKS/ECS, S3, Transit Gateway, EC2, etc.
• Performing cost-benefit and risk-reward assessments.
• Creating solution designs, development and deployment strategies, and high-level solution validation processes for execution by delivery teams.
• Taking responsibility for the overall technical success of client projects.
• Collaborating with technology management to enhance project management processes for improved technical delivery effectiveness.
• Assisting in prioritizing and organizing infrastructure projects, supporting project work breakdown activities, removing obstacles, and collaboratively resolving disagreements related to solution design.
• Promoting continuous learning and collaboration by:
• Acting as a mentor to team members regarding best practices.
• Informing clients about solution rationales and best practices.
• Building consensus among all technical stakeholders.
• Ensuring rigorous project governance and execution through:
• Meeting with team members daily to assess progress.
• Challenging team members on technical solution approaches and holding them accountable for successful implementation.
• Logging time on assigned projects daily.
• Supporting project delivery team members by:
• Consistently operating with transparency.
• Being responsive to team members' informational requests.
• Communicating individual working preferences and understanding the preferences of others to help cultivate a high-performing team that functions with respect, effectiveness, and efficiency.
• Over 5 years of continuous, relevant experience as a Solution Architect, with at least:
• More than 3 years of experience architecting AWS infrastructure.
• Over 3 years of experience building AWS infrastructure, including:
• At least 1 year of experience with infrastructure as code (preferably Terraform).
• At least 1 year of experience with DevOps toolchains (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, AWS Code* Suite).
• At least one (1) AWS Professional certification.
• Strong understanding of leading AWS cloud security practices.
• Skilled in developing Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform / AWS CloudFormation).
• Proficient in coding configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.).
• Competent in at least one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, Node, etc.).
• Demonstrable understanding of Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail.
