Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and execute secure, scalable cloud infrastructure solutions.

• Lead initiatives for cloud modernization and migration across enterprise settings.

• Establish cloud architecture standards and best practices.

• Collaborate with engineering, DevSecOps, and cybersecurity teams to provide secure cloud solutions.

• Ensure adherence to federal security and regulatory standards.

• Support Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and cloud operations.

• Evaluate technical risks, architecture trade-offs, resiliency, and performance optimization.

• Convert mission and business requirements into scalable cloud architectures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 4+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure architecture, or cloud architecture roles.

• Extensive hands-on experience designing cloud solutions in AWS (EKS, EC2, RDS, S3 preferred) with familiarity in Azure, particularly regarding disaster recovery and resiliency planning.

• Proficient experience with Docker, Kubernetes, container orchestration, and infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible.

• Solid understanding of cloud networking, compute, storage, IAM, security groups, monitoring, and infrastructure design.

• Experience in cloud security architecture, including IAM, encryption, secrets management, logging, vulnerability management, and secure access controls.

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA, CIS benchmarks, or similar regulated environments.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or similar).

• Experience in supporting DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD integrations.

• Excellent documentation, architecture review, and stakeholder communication skills.
