This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Develop and uphold schedules for multiple hospital locations at least 45 days prior to the commencement of each month.
• Utilize Shift Admin scheduling software to automatically generate schedules based on specific customizations, rules, and weightings.
• Foster relationships with providers to understand their scheduling preferences and hard stops.
• Examine requests, identify conflicts, propose solutions, and escalate unresolved matters as necessary.
• Compile historical data reports to assess future staffing requirements.
• Collaborate with credentialing, RDO, Directors, and other teams to ensure adequate staffing levels.
• Coordinate the use of cross-credentialed providers and their availability with other clinician schedulers.
• Schedule traveling physicians and maximize site allocations using Scheduling Optimization techniques.
• Guarantee that distributed availability ensures comprehensive staffing for all shifts.
• Optimize shift trades and blocking to reduce costs associated with traveling physicians.
• Ensure continuity of care, equity in shifts, and compliance with distribution policies.
• Schedule providers in accordance with budgeting tiers and clinician utilization priorities.
• Coordinate external clinician resources through locum companies as necessary.
• Adjust shift maps as instructed by site leadership.
• Modify schedules in collaboration with executive and site leadership under pressing deadlines.
• Partner with Physician/APP leaders to finalize ideal schedules prior to publication.
• Fill anticipated vacancies and last-minute open shifts.
• Communicate schedule modifications and secure agreement from relevant parties.
• Maintain provider satisfaction and clarify expectations regarding scheduling.
• Investigate complaints, analyze root causes, and resolve issues promptly.
• Set up Shift Admin and apply pay codes to automate payroll through Workday integration.
• Exercise discretion when policy deviations are necessary to meet deadlines.
• Communicate terms and premium rates effectively with providers.
• Fulfill on-call responsibilities as required.
• Escalate matters to clinician leadership when appropriate.
• Ensure consensus on scheduling policies and decisions.
• Analyze metrics and reports, and communicate findings effectively.
• Ability to operate and perform effectively within a dual and remote reporting framework.

• Experience in creating and managing complex, fluid schedules.
• Preference for candidates with Shift Admin scheduling experience.
• Previous experience working with clinicians is preferred.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and review data on computer monitors.
• Close visual acuity is essential for performing the job.
