This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Oversee, direct, and assist volunteer interactions to ensure compliance with policies and training through feedback, debriefing, coaching, and crisis intervention strategies.
• Engage with texter conversations as necessary to provide support, resolve issues, and de-escalate situations directly with texters.
• Collaborate with Emergency Services to facilitate active rescues and fulfill mandated reporting obligations.
• Efficiently manage a high volume of text communications and prioritize attention as needed.
• Enhance the quality of crisis intervention services delivered.
• Partner with the coaching team to support volunteers and elevate service delivery standards.
• Prioritize addressing texter needs and delivering a more responsive service experience.
• Relevant Master’s degree in psychology, mental health nursing, social work, or psychotherapy.
• Four years of relevant work or volunteer experience considered equivalent to a Master’s Degree for candidates without one.
• A minimum of two years of relevant supervisory or managerial experience overseeing staff or volunteers.
• Strong understanding of when to escalate service-user issues and the ability to resolve problems promptly and effectively.
• Experience with mental health interventions or crisis management is highly advantageous.
• Relevant experience and insight into the challenges involved in providing services to young individuals.
• Proficient knowledge of applicable Child Protection legislation.
• Previous experience with a similar organization is beneficial.
• Demonstrates a highly empathetic, person-centered approach.
• Flexibility and adaptability in working methods to meet changing circumstances.
• Comfort with technology and enthusiasm for its potential to enhance positive mental health outcomes.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Strong prioritization, time management, and follow-up skills.
• Reflective and resilient in nature.
• Employment is contingent upon reference checks and Garda vetting clearance.
• Staff may be required to obtain Garda vetting clearance as a prerequisite for both initial and ongoing employment.
• Weekend availability is necessary.
• Must be available for shifts scheduled between 8pm and 8am.
• 25 days of annual leave (not including public holidays, pro-rata).
