This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as a Medtronic device specialist during surgical procedures, ensuring the availability of equipment and products while offering technical assistance, device selection, programming, and testing.

• Guide patients through all stages of the clinical process, educating them on the features and advantages of Medtronic products.

• Provide clinical assistance during surgeries, reprogramming, troubleshooting, and follow-ups in hospitals and clinics.

• Train and educate physicians, hospital staff, and office personnel on products and therapies.

• Respond swiftly and professionally to device-related questions from customers and patients.

• Oversee inventory for case coverage, including product transactions, cycle counts, retrievals, and expiration/hold controls.

• Collaborate and communicate with leadership to contribute to quarterly district, regional, and national goals.

• Stay informed about competitive products and engage with healthcare providers and office staff to build relationships.

• Place customer-service orders for pending purchase orders and product replacements; gather case purchase orders with materials management.

• Support management and Sales Training in the education and training of new district employees.

• Mentor Associate Clinical Specialists.

• Complete necessary therapy, corporate compliance, and other training requirements.

• Travel within the district and occasionally to other districts to cover cases.

• Effectively manage business expenses and budgets.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with at least 6 years of clinical or medical sales experience; or an Associate's degree with a minimum of 4 years; or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years.

• A Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.

• A Master's degree is preferred.

• Experience as a registered nurse or HCP in a sterile environment is preferred.

• Clinical experience with implantable neurological products and patient care is preferred.

• Experience providing service to medical personnel regarding product usage is preferred.

• Background with a medical device or pharmaceutical company and clinical experience in neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, operating room, pain management, or home health care is preferred.

• Familiarity with basic reimbursement processes and the healthcare environment.

• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

• Capability to apply healthcare universal precautions.

• Ability to act as a primary resource for both scheduled and unscheduled clinical events, including weekends, evenings, nights, and overnight travel.

• Proficiency in working efficiently and independently with minimal direction outside of clinical events.

• Willingness to participate in national and district meetings and training sessions.

• Capacity to wear a 7–9 lb protective lead apron for extended durations.

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

• Capability to sit, stand, and/or walk for over 8 hours daily; frequently bend, stoop, squat, and maintain balance.

• Specific abilities in close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

• A valid driver's license and an active vehicle insurance policy; driving record will be reviewed.

• Ability to drive approximately 50% of the time within the designated territory and travel overnight as necessary.

• For degrees obtained outside the United States, the degree must comply with 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).

• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at the time of hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not provided below the Principal level.
